Five track release from local folkstress with more than just an acoustic guitar on her side. In fact the Paul Norton-produced Stage is a collection of surprisingly full arrangements, and some heavy drama. That drama can be overbearing — Hocking's world is all "condemning eyes", "dark and moody", "I'm the only one to save you from yourself" and "I'm not a dancer in your twisted whore world" — but the MOR quality of the tunes is enough to get Hocking by for now.
